PRP Injection

PRP is one of the latest, safest, and most innovative ways to take care of our skin.

What IS PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

PRP is a form of cosmetic injectable treatment that uses the client’s own platelet-rich plasma. The plasma component contains stem cells and growth-rich platelets. When injected back into the skin, it accelerates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin to provide overall skin rejuvenation.

PRP has been used for decades for wound and soft tissue healing by orthopedic surgeons and wound care physicians. However, the effectiveness of this procedure and extensive research and clinical evidence has extended the application to the treatment of scars, minimizing pores, fine wrinkles, volume loss, hair loss, and skin rejuvenation.

How Does It Work?

Platelet-Rich Plasma injections are used to stimulate and accelerate the natural repair process of the body. The injections are prepared from a small sample of patients’ own blood, minimizing risks and side effects. The blood is collected from the patient and spun in a centrifuge to separate the blood into different components. The component of blood with the highest concentration of platelets is extracted. This is then injected back into the target site, where it stimulates the body’s natural healing process.

The process takes about 30-45 minutes, can be repeated every four weeks if needed, and aside from bruising, has little to no negative side effects. The benefit for many people is the option to use their own natural body’s pathways to improve their skin, rather than injecting fillers

There are many clinical applications for PRP—it’s used for the treatment of hair loss, acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, pigmentation, volume loss, wrinkles, fine lines, and crepey skin texture

What Is it Used For?

PRP is used when skin elasticity and volume are concerned. It will improve skin quality and smooth fine lines of the face, hands and neck area. Patients will notice an improvement in puffiness and darkness under the eyes. Overall the skin will appear more youthful, tighter, and with an improved skin tone to no negative side effects. The benefit for many people is the option to use their own natural body’s path.

It is also used to improve the health of the skin, particularly sun-damaged skin.

How Safe Is It ?

PRP injections have been successfully used for decades in the medical field to treat various wound and skin treatments. It is a very safe procedure since it uses your own natural element, without any foreign chemical ones.
